Dear Potential House Sitters,

We have a modern house in Sandy Bay. Sublime views of the Derwent River and Tasman Bridge by day and by night. 2 double bedrooms. Large living/kitchen/dining area. Separate study and 2nd living area. 2 bathrooms . Master bedroom with walk in robe, has river views as does the ensuite with free standing slipper bath. Kitchen has been newly installed and is equipped with all new electrical appliances. 2nd bathroom has a walk-in shower, butlers sink and behind sliding doors, the laundry. House is situated at the end of a quiet, friendly no through road. Off street parking for two vehicles. The front of the house has a spacious glassed deck, with uninterrupted views of the river ... perfect for sitting on the Adirondack chairs, sipping a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset. The kitchen picture window overlooks a newly established native garden and with a deck and a Webber BBQ. The house is 5kms to Hobart CBD, Salamanca Place with its wide variety of cafes and bars and of course the Salamanca Saturday market. It is a 4 minute drive to the beautiful sandy and dog friendly Longbeach / Nutgrove beach. It too has some great places to eat or to get your latte fix for the day! There are some beautiful bush walks nearby and Kunanyi/ Mt. Wellington is a short drive away and a a beautiful place to see the beauty of the Hobart skyline at night.

We have 3 female cats. Dodge an 11 year old tortie, Mitty a 9 year old ginger and Tucker a 4 year old tabby with a with a slightly wonky eye! All 3 are rescue cats, fit and healthy. They are affectionate and friendly but not too demanding as they like their independence. They are mainly indoor cats, they have a large cat run that they can access through their cat flap in the study. All 3 like to try and escape into the garden during the day (they are very fast when they hear the sliding doors opening) but they do not seem to roam too far and they will come to the door and wait to be let in. Going out at night is a big no for us, both for their safety and that of the native wildlife.

Finally we have Archie, who is an 18 month old Cavoodle. He is Mr. Personality ++ and absolutely adores humans. He is a bundle of energy and a great hit with both the other dogs on his favourite off leash beach and with the beach goers who wish that they had a dog! Two walks a day where he can zoomie like a lunatic is his most favourite past time, as is playing fetch with his toys. He is generally well behaved (apart from stealing our socks) and he will do anything for a treat. When he has expended some of his energy he loves a cuddle on the couch. Whilst he would love to sleep on your bed, he has been trained to eat and sleep in his crate and can be left alone in it for short periods when you want to go out without him. Archie is a great traveller in the car and he would love to go on adventures with you. Archie loves the cats ... Dodge is very tolerant and they will tussle together. Mitty gives him a stern look and is quite happy to put him in his place with a swipe or two of her paw. Dodge just wishes that we had never brought him home and will run and hide from him.

With the garden it would be great if you could water when needed. We have no lawns, so no mowing!

We hope that we have tempted you to come and live with our mob. Ideally we would like to find someone who would be able to spend quite a lot of their time with Archie as we are both retired and he is used to having one or both of us around for long periods of the day. The cats are quite independent but Archie being quite young, is still a work in progress.

References from your previous house sittings and a Police Check are important to us. looking forward to hearing from you, Regards, Carol & Dave
