We need someone to look after our house and animals while we are on holidays for 2 weeks. We are located in Eudlo, a small village in the back hills of the Sunshine Coast, Qld. Ideally this would suit someone who is familiar with living on acreage a couple of km's out of a small village. For example, the house has tank water and relies on a water pump. Also there is a 3m python living in the roof who may or may not make an appearance (outside only).

Our dog is an eight year old Maremma called Rhona. She has a large fenced area but if she gets out the gate she will run off. So the house sitter would need to be able to handle her. She is an absolute sweety and loves a walk everyday on a lead, but can be stubborn and not move from sitting down if she has a mind to.

The Koi the cat is eight years old too and stays inside. He is very easy to look after.

We have a flock of 10 chickens (no rooster) who lay lovely eggs and have an automatic door.

We do ask that you have no pets of your own because the Maremma does not like other dogs in her space and the cat and chickens are not a fan either.

You will need a car because there is no public transport to our house. There is a train to Brisbane that leaves from Eudlo village which is quite handy for trip to the city. Chenrezig Buddhist Institute is a couple of kms up the road. It has retreats, art workshops, meditation, yoga classes and a cafe. All are welcome to visit. The village has a couple of cafes, a hall with music events, a school, tennis courts, walks and a welcoming community.

Eudlo is a 20min drive to the beaches, markets, restaurants and shopping centres of busy Maroochydore. 30mins from the hinterland towns of Maleny and Montville. And 45mins for Noosa and Noosa national parks. There are lots of national parks and bushwalking in the area.

The house is comfortable. You will have the spare room downstairs with your own bath room. There is a dryer, air conditioning and Starlink internet. The property is very lush, peaceful and full of wildlife with many birds. There is a large parking area which will fit a caravan if you need to bring one.
