Hi everyone, we are looking for someone to stay in our beautiful cottage in Wondecla after the previous sitter fell through. We have two large dogs that are relaxed and easy going with people, but do not get on with other dogs. The property is situated in the heart of Wondecla within 100m of the store, oval and river, 2 minutes drive from Herberton, 20 minutes from Atherton and 1 hr 40 from Cairns. It is an old weatherboard from the mining days, comfortable and characterful but not flash. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a decent amount of space. Wondecla is cooler and drier than the neighbouring tropical areas but within 10km as the crow flies from the rainforest and waterfalls the area is famous for. From our house there are abundant tracks to explore on foot or by bike with lots of wildlife, such as elusive bettongs in the garden and a platypus who lives down at the bridge.
