Hello, we are looking for an animal lover to look after our beautiful 2 yr old kelpie cross and 8 chickens for 3 weeks. We live on 70 acres between Maleny and Kenilworth and have the lovely Elaman creek running through our property which is great to cool off in at this time of the year.

We live in a very comfortable shed house which is off grid but has a solar air conditioning system and a generator to use at night. We have gas cookers, a big gas fridge and gas hot water and the only appliances we don’t have are a dishwasher and microwave. The house has one bedroom with a queen bed and a spare double bed.

Free wifi internet is available as is Netflix and Stan.

Our place is a 10 min drive from Maleny and about 20 mins from Kenilworth. Caloundra takes about 40 mins.

We are looking for someone who can be here most of the time as we don’t want Missy to be caged all day while you go to work. Although she has 70 acres to roam on, she tends to stick close by and needs to be taken for a couple of walks a day (just around our property off lead). She is pretty good with the chickens when they are free ranging but does need to be supervised just in case she gets too ‘stalkerish’ with them. She loves other dogs but likes to be dominant, which can cause problems, so best you don’t have your own dogs.
