I’m Tux – No.1 cat of the house

I’m a lady of a certain age who likes to pass my time sleeping or eating. I like chest rubs and butter and dinner at 6 o’clock sharp. I’m quite friendly but might take a few days to warm up to a new human feeder but when I do I’ll probably want to sleep on the bed with you. And if things are going well, I’ll happily snuggle under the doona!

Even though I've been living here a few years now I'm still trying to work out what’s going on with that Tuxedo. She is fascinating but sometimes doesn't like to play so I hang out with the chickens. I’m pretty adorable and welcome ear scratches and a warm lap.

We are Latrice, Geraldine and Macy Grey – chicken ladies of the house.

We love scratching around and working on our day spa dust bath development. We used to be in the egg way but are retired now – except Latrice who still pops out a surprise egg. We’re pretty friendly and easy going and will turn your food scraps into poo.

We have a nice little freestanding house where you will have your own room with a queen bed. Everything works in the house and the garden is alive and with your attention we'd like you to keep it that way. We have many native birds that visit us daily and are amusing to watch.

We are in a quiet street with nice neighbours and have many great parks to walk in nearby or a short drive up to the Dandenong Ranges. Train and bus not far and shops down the road. Ideally, we are looking for a single person or couple who can be at home enough to feed the hens and give the cats attention whilst keeping the place secure. We like to be informed about how things are going at home whilst we are away so an occasional photo of the animal family is well received.

We want you to feel excited about being in our home and, we want to feel confident that you are the person to take care of our precious things for us. Having a sensible approach to animal and house care is what we need and if you have experience with cats and chickens then that’s great.

You will need to have your own car and we cannot have any pets of your own here. We have a comfortable, cute and low tech house which is also non smoking.
