House sit MARRICKVILLE

Mornings in Marrickville begin with the gentle hum of the Cooks River pathway. Taking your charge for their first walk of the day along this extensive route offers serene views and plenty of space for a good stretch. Easily accessible from most residential pockets, the path provides a green corridor where dogs can explore smells and you can absorb the morning quiet. Afterward, consider a coffee from an independent roaster on Marrickville Road before settling into the day's tasks, ensuring pets are comfortable at home. For an afternoon change of pace, the river path continues, connecting various pocket parks like Steel Park, perfect for a longer outing or a run with an energetic canine. The neighbourhood's flat terrain also invites casual cycling or simply exploring the backstreets on foot, observing the blend of heritage homes and modern updates. The unhurried rhythm of the Inner West encourages leisurely stops, perhaps for a snack from a local bakery. Weekends introduce a distinct flavour. Sunday mornings are best spent at the Marrickville Organic Food Market on Addison Road. Leave your four-legged companion secure and content at home while you navigate stalls overflowing with fresh produce, gourmet foods, and artisan crafts. This market provides a central point of Marrickville life, offering everything you need to stock the pantry for the week ahead and ensuring a smooth continuation of your house-sitting duties.
