We downsized in 2020 and built our smaller and easier to care for 3 bedroom home on a small block in the Blackall Range town of Mapleton. There are no pets to care for but we do feed some of the local native birds. General care of our home and lawn mowing and general garden maintenance is required which can include some pruning for this extended stay. Good quality battery operated mower and other garden tools are supplied.The beautiful volcanic soil of the Blackall Range helps plants grow extremely well. You will have a bedroom with queen bed and built in robes and your own bathroom. The house has full laundry facilities. We are an easy 5 minutes walk from the local village which has a bowls club, IGA, fuel station, post office, pub, library, doctors, pharmacy, physiotherapist, pathologist, gym, restaurants, coffee shops and bakery. We are approximately 40 minutes drive from Sunshine Coast beaches. We are on tank water and pump out septic/grey water as there is no town water or sewerage on the range. We always have plenty of water due to our high rainfall but we ask that you pay towards the cost of the pump out. This can be discussed further if you are interested in the position. We shall be heading off to WA with our caravan so there will be space in our large shed for a van if you need. We are hoping for an older retired couple without pets for this house sit.
