Requirements

We are planning a short adventure in July/August and are looking for an active and fit couple or individual to take care of our place. We live in a secluded valley that backs onto the Border Ranges National Park, 18 kms from Kyogle. 5 kms of this is gravel road. We have 3 and half hectares along 500 metres of creek frontage. Over half is forested.

We require reasonably fit and strong people to walk our playful, character filled kelpie, blue heeler cross dogs named Jake and Elroy. They sleep most of the time, however, do require a morning walk. They will be turning 7 in June and are almost through the adolescent phase.

We have 3 chooks plus a very productive veggie garden. We require the chooks to be fed and watered and let out in the morning and locked in the afternoon. We require the veggie garden and our rainforest seedlings to be watered as needed.

The house is very comfortable and compact. Wood fire as well as air conditioning. We do have a well equipped kitchen. As well we have an outdoor composting toilet and we are off grid.

We do have about half a hectare that will need a mow and a whipper snip during your stay. Don't panic! We do have a ride on.

We do not have television reception by choice, though you can stream and we have internet.

While here, you will be able to explore the Border Ranges National Park, many quaint eclectic villages with country markets and galleries including Blue Knob, Wadeville, Nimbin and The Channon.

Kyogle has a decent cinema an IGA. There are many volunteer groups to join if you want something to do eg. Landcare.

50 minutes to Lismore, 45 minutes to Casino, 90 minutes to Ballina and 150 minutes to Brisbane from our house.

If you are interested please let us know and we can organise a time to discuss and arrange a visit to see what you think.

We don't have capacity for any other animals.

Regards

Sue and Rob
