Our cosy two-bedroom home sits on a big, leafy block with a semi-rural feel, yet it’s only minutes from our town filled with excellent coffee. There’s a carport for parking and plenty of room if you’re bringing a caravan, and yes, pets are welcome.

Your best buddy during the stay will be our Riley girl, our almost three-year-old Aussie Shepherd x Bernese Mountain Dog. She’s full of personality, adores fetch and walks, and above all loves love, especially cuddles on the couch.

Alongside Riley, we have three friendly sheep - April, Daniel, and Fernando, who just need a weekly hay top-up and their water checked, plus two cheeky chickens, Lucky and Delphenium, who enjoy scraps, feed, fresh water, and being tucked in and let out each day. We’re also mid-landscaping, so a little garden watering would be much appreciated.

It’s a fantastic time to be in Young: cherry season will be in full swing, the orchards open for picking, and the National Cherry Festival (5–7 December) will bring parades, live music, fireworks, and plenty of food. There are also regular farmers markets, a festive Trash & Treasure sale, and local winery events to enjoy.

All in all, it’s a peaceful base with a loving dog, some sheep and chickens to keep you smiling, and a town bursting with cherries, coffee, and country charm.
