Requirements

Care for our two friendly miniature cavoodles and seven chooks, with a top up watering of some plants if it's really hot and sunny for the week.

The dogs are fed twice a day (not at a particular time). It would be great but not essential if you could walk the dogs once a day and have a play/cuddle with them. They are inside/outside dogs and we have a dog door into a large secure back yard. While they love company and will want to be around you when you are home they can be left alone during the day.

The chooks need to be let out from their coop in the morning and locked up in the evening (just closing/opening a gate and blocking off their automatic feeder). Once a day feed them some scratch mix, collect eggs and check automatic food/water.

We live on a large leafy block in the centre of Canberra backing onto bush reserve and close to Lake Burley-Griffin and several walking and cycling paths. There are many nearby restaurants and a local shopping centre, plus we are close to the airport, bus and train stations, markets, museums and galleries, We are in a great spot if you want to do touristy things, if you are a nature lover, want some space or are social. We have a main bedroom (king bed) set up and have a single bed in a room that has been used for working from home. There is one bathroom (bath and separate shower) with a separate toilet. We have a long cement driveway and there is space to store a caravan. Good Wifi is available. You can bring dog/s if they would be compatible with 8-10 kg cavoodles and not chase the chooks (which we usually let have free range in the closest to house half of the back yard). The chooks can be enclosed in a smaller area but the fence is only thigh high and the entry gates are a bit rickety so most dogs can get in), but no cats as we are allergic.
