Hello! We're looking for someone to look after our 10 year old ginger cat, Shark, while we visit family in the UK. You will have use of our one bedroom apartment in Richmond and a carpark, if you need it. The apartment is walking distance to the city, the MCG, and the Yarra River Trail, as well as nearby hot spots. It's a small block of flats, only eight in total, with a courtyard and a big back garden and carpark area. Shark is a beautiful but nervous boy. We adopted him a few years ago and he's afraid and cautious around new people, so he'll need someone with patience to let him adjust for a couple of days, but is incredibly affectionate once he's familiar with you. As a result of his previous life, Shark only has one tooth left but this doesn't bother him and he can eat both wet and dry food (he's like a cat vacuum) and doesn't need any special medical attention. He's an indoor and outdoor cat during the day but is always indoors at night. Shark is quite needy for a cat - e.g. he likes to be petted while eating his food, he'll mew at you until you sit down and he can climb onto your lap etc. - and is very much a creature of habit in his day-to-day life. He's also obsessed with playing "mouse" (us running around the house with a toy mouse on a string) and would very much like a sitter who will play with him every day. Lastly, depending on how you feel about plants, we may ask you to water our green babies occasionally - we can leave notes for each one and how often - but this isn't essential and we can easily transport them to nearby family members for babysitting. **Location photos to come tomorrow when it's not dark!**
