We are seeking a mature couple with their own motorhome, caravan or campervan to house sit our bushland property near Gympie. Your choice of sites, and power and water, and dump point will be available, and use of areas of the house including your own toilet. The property is at North deep Creek which is about 15 minutes drive from Gympie town shops etc.

The property is 30 acres of beautiful forest visited by a great variety of birds and other wildlife. Bird watchers and photographers will be pleasantly surprised by the diversity.

As the property is a wildlife haven, we would prefer sitters without pets or at least just a small quiet dog. Definitely no cats due to our allergies.

We dont have pets for you to look after but as our property is an ongoing project, we would prefer sitters who are are a bit handy with diy or are willing and able to do some light gardening. We will discuss with you about what you feel willing and able to do while here once you tell us of your interests and abilities. Could be anything from light trimming of plants to taking on your own project such as outdoor mosaic, creating a barbecue area etc.

We are looking to meet sitters who may like to sit more often or for longer periods and that is the reason we are only seeking sitters with their own set-up at this stage, it allows a lot of convenience and flexibility moving forward as we would be able to offer the sitter maximum flexibility with their arrival and departure dates as we would be happy to have the sitters here on an exchange basis while we are still at home in between trips away.

The dates we've posted for this sit are flexible as we haven't yet cemented our plans so we are happy to work in with your plans.

About us: we are a married couple; 63 and 58 years old. We work away and from home at different times of the year in electrical and administrative roles, travelling together and separately at times, depending on the project. We also like to regularly get away to catch up with family, attend festivals and enjoy overnight camping trips to the beach etc.
