Requirements

Hi there,

I have a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house in Sydney's Inner West (edge of Marrickville, Petersham and Stanmore), with a small backyard. I am located about a 12 minute walk from a train station and a 2 minute walk from a bus stop. I'm about a 20min walk from Enmore Rd restaurants, bars and Enmore Theater. Also about a 20min walk to Marrickville Metro (has Coles, Woolies, Aldi, KMart - it's a 5min drive with plenty of parking). There's also a couple restaurants within a 5 minute walk (one Thai, one Vegetarian cafe), and another handful in 10min walk.

I am going to be away for about 3 weeks over Christmas and New Years and am looking for a house (and pet) sitter.

I have 2 dogs that need to be cared for while I'm away. One is a little fluffy shih tzu who has serious separation anxiety (Loki) and the other is a rambunctious 16 month old Kelpy cross who needs two long walks each day (Nyx). Loki and Nyx get about 2-3 hours of walks each day, with plenty of ball throwing for Nyx.

There is a large off-leash park about a 10-minute walk from my house (Henson Park). We are also regulars at Sydney Park, which is about a 10 minute drive - I have a manual car so if you can drive stick, you are welcome to use my car while I am gone.

Loki is quite easy to care for - he's only 5yrs, but acts like he's 15 and is happy as long as he has a human to curl up next to (but freaks out when he's left alone). Nyx is more of a handful due to his relentless Kelpy energy, but is fine when left home alone. As long as he gets 2hrs of walks every day, he is not destructive - but he can get wound up and will bark at you if he feels he hasn't had enough exercise (you can take him in the backyard and throw the ball to give him that stimulation).

Ideally, I'm looking for someone who won't be leaving the dogs home alone for more than 3 hours at a time and will only leave them alone several times a week, due to Loki's separation anxiety (another option is to take Loki with you and leave Nyx at home with treats - then you can leave him for up to 5hrs alone).

Aside from taking care of them and making sure their needs are met, I have no other expectations (other than not burning the house down!).
