We have a luxury house on acreage in Oak Valley (Townsville). We are looking for house-sitters for the last week of April and the whole month of May – 5 weeks in total.

We have one cat, Rosie-May, who is an indoor/outdoor cat. She is fed twice daily. We also have two horses, who are fed daily. The horses do not require any handling – they simply need feed to be put into their feed buckets, which are located near the house.

The irrigation system will take care of watering outside and we have a small number of indoor plants that need to be watered once a week.

May is the perfect time to visit Townsville! The rainy weather has passed, and you can expect bright sunny days (with temperatures reaching the mid-high 20’s) and cooler, mild nights (with temperatures in the high teens).

Our house is very comfortable and spacious. We have a large carport with high clearance which would suit many caravans. We also have a swimming pool with spectacular views.

This house-sitting job would ideally suit a mature couple, preferably with some experience of rural properties and some common sense! We would prefer our house-sitters not to have pets of their own. Sadly, Rosie-May does not enjoy the company of other cats or dogs. We would also prefer non-smokers.
