Hello, we are looking for an animal lover to look after our two beautiful 3 yr and 1 yr old kelpie crosses and 6 chickens for 2 weeks.

We live on 70 acres between Maleny and Conondale and have the lovely Elaman creek running through our property which is great to cool off in at this time of the year.

We live in a very comfortable shed house which is off grid but has a solar air conditioning system and a big, remote start generator to use at night.

We have a gas cooker, an electric bench oven and washing machine you can use at night (when the generator is on), a big gas fridge and gas hot water. The only appliance we don’t have is a dishwasher.

The house has one bedroom with a queen bed and a spare double bed in the living area.

Free wifi internet is available as is Netflix, Stan, Binge and Prime.

Our place is a 10 min drive from Maleny and about 20 mins from Kenilworth. Caloundra takes about 35 mins.

We are looking for someone who can be here most of the time as we don’t want Missy and Sally to be caged all day while you go to work. Although they have 70 acres to roam on, they tend to stick close by and need to be taken for a couple of walks a day (just around our property off lead). They are both pretty good with the chickens when they are free ranging but do need to be supervised just in case they get too stalkerish.

They love other dogs, but like to be dominant, which can cause problems, so best you don’t have your own dogs.

You are welcome to stay in our shed house or park your caravan overlooking the creek.

We will leave you about 70 L of fuel for the generator which should be enough for 2 weeks running it a few hours each night. If you want to use it for longer you may need to buy petrol from the shop at Conondale which is a 5 min drive and has good fuel prices.
