I have a beautiful old Queenslander within walking distance of the centre of town and a beautiful lush garden. In don't have any pets. I need someone to look after the house and garden while I am overseas for an extended period. There is a nature strip that needs mowing once a fortnight (takes about 10 minutes) and there is some twice weekly hand watering of the hanging baskets and pots in the garden. If it doesn't rain then a watering system needs to used weekly but you simply need to attach the hose and turn on the tap. Leaves need to be blown into the garden once a week using an electric leaf blower. The house is very comfortable for one or two people and has two reverse cycle aircons. There is a 10m X 3m studio in the garden which I use for sewing and it has a piano too. I need someone in the house for security and to keep it clean and safe while I am away. The town has many amenities and has a few festivals in winter - Relish, Mary Poppins and a Cosplay one. Hervey Bay is only 30 minutes away and there is a bus if you don't have a car. K'Gari (Fraser Island) is easily accessible of the coast. It will be whale watching season and there will be the Whale Festival. Nearby Childers has a multi- cultural festival and a wildlife centre. Bundaberg is just over an hour’s drive with the Mon Repos turtle research centre and Bargara Beach. There is a fast train to Brisbane and an airport at Hervey Bay. Tin Can Bay, Rainbow Beach are about an hour away and Noosa is 1.5 hours. I will pay the first $100 per month of the electricity bill (this is the usual amount of the bill in winter). The House Sitter must be a non-smoker and no pets or children.
