My husband and I are seeking a house and pet sitter at our house in Coffs Harbour while we travel for one week in March 2026. We have a 9-year-old male Border Collie who was rehomed with us about 5 months ago. Given he's a recent rescue, we'd prefer that he is cared for in our own home while we're away to reduce any stress associated with our absence. Our house is an older style property (built in the 60s) with some modern comforts, including reverse cycle heating/cooling, ceiling fans, comfy beds, OLED TV with streaming services, fast FTP internet, and an induction cook top. We have a very large back yard with plenty of mature trees, including a large QLD bottle tree. Our neighbours are lovely. We're located very centrally in Coffs, midway between Coffs CBD and the local shopping plaza (each about 1.5km), not too far from the local patrolled beach and the Jetty area (about 2km) and about 6 minutes walk from the trails along Coffs Creek. Our border collie does not like sharing his space with other dogs and is a noise sensitive soul - he barks at beeping noises, thunder, whipper snippers and mowers, among other things! We have been working on this and he can usually be distracted by high value treats. He has some spinal issues that mean we need to be careful with how much vigorous activity he is permitted each day. We are looking for someone who is happy to take him for walks of about 2 km morning and evening while we are away.
