We are looking for a reliable and experienced house-sitter/pet-sitter to stay at our home from 24 April until 21 May 2026 while we are away.

The main responsibility is caring for our two mini or not so mini dachshunds (who believe they run the property). They are very affectionate and love company, so we are really hoping to find someone who will be mostly at home with them . Daily feeding, fresh water, companionship and general supervision are required, along with keeping the house secure and tidy.

The house itself is comfortable and fully equipped. You will have full use of it. This would be best suited to a quiet couple who enjoy a peaceful rural setting and are happy around animals.

The property is a working sugar cane farm located in Julatten. Because it is an operational farm, there will be staff, vehicles and machinery coming and going during the day. You won’t be required to manage the farm in any way — the farm staff handle all operations — however we would like someone comfortable with a rural environment and the normal activity that comes with it.
