Assignment Requirements

We're looking for an honest, reliable house-sitter to stay at our light-filled, double-story apartment in Richmond while we are visiting family back home.

We have a very cute and friendly rescue cat called Diablo, who is 11 years old. He loves being around people, happily observes the street from our balcony, and enjoys his occasional walks on the leash.

We're located in the middle of Richmond. From the apartment, it's a 2 min walk to the next tram station and a 5-10 min walk to Richmond train station. We will require watering of pot plants (we have quite a few), but most of them are succulents so it's very hassle-free.

Would prefer somebody who can work from home to keep Diablo company. Please contact me if you have availability and references.

About the Area

RICHMOND Melbourne, Victoria
Suburb Insights
Richmond 3121 prioritises practical, pedestrian-focused living. Most daily errands and pet exercise seamlessly integrate with local transport. Trams along Bridge Road (109) and Church Street (78) provide direct access to essentials. Supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths are a short walk or tram ride away, simplifying provisions for both you and your charges. East Richmond train station offers quick city connections, useful for specialised pet supplies or vet visits further afield. Dog walks easily become part of the day's rhythm along the Yarra River trails, accessible from many points, providing ample space and fresh air for pets. Burnley Park and Gardens also offer green expanses for exercise. Post-walk, grab a coffee or a quick bite from the many cafes on Swan Street or Bridge Road, fitting conveniently into your schedule. While Richmond maintains an engaged pace, quiet moments are readily found, especially near the riverbanks. Sundays bring activity to Gleadell Street Market, an easy walk for fresh produce. Successfully managing a house-sitting assignment here means leveraging the well-connected public transport and extensive walking paths, ensuring both your comfort and the animals' consistent routine.
