We will be looking for housesitters to mind our home on 2 acres and take care of our much loved 6 year old staffies, Leroy and Macy. Our plan is to be away overseas for approx 4 weeks from mid Sept to mid Oct 2025. We need someone that loves dogs - ours are inside dogs and are our family. Other than pet care, there would be watering of plants inside and outside the home and some mowing when required (we have a ride on). The dogs don't need to be walked as they have 2 acres to run around on - they love it when we are home in the afternoons and on weekends and are outside when we aren't (we both work full time). We live 20 mins out of the Gladstone township in regional Queensland (an hour south of Rockhampton and 2.5 hours north of Bundaberg) are are 3km along a dirt road so the house does get dusty inside (would not be suited to anyone with asthma, etc). We have tank water (3 large tanks) and a septic system. Our home is on top of a hill that looks down the valley and is very quiet and peaceful. Sept/Oct is a beautiful time of year here with lovely temps in mid to high 20's and not yet humid.
