Assignment Requirements

Hi, we're looking for a house and dog sitter while we're away on holidays. Best suited to someone who works from home or retirees as our dog is used to having someone around most of the day (we both WFH). She is 1.5 years old and her name is Kayla. She's a small Beaglier and very friendly.

We have a spacious house, 2 bedrooms could be utilised for your stay (one Queen; one double) plus a study with workstation and reliable WIFI.

We have a lap pool at the back, but the heating is currently turned off for winter season.

We're 20 min walk to either Maroubra beach or Malabar beach, close to bus stop. 10-15 min walk to shops. 5 min walk to Heffron park.

Responsibilities would include collecting the mail, water plants, keeping the house clean and tidy.

About the Area

MATRAVILLE Sydney, New South Wales
Suburb Insights
Morning light filters through the quiet residential streets of Matraville, marking a gentle start to the day. While tending to the garden or checking on the pets, you might find yourself wandering toward Malabar Headland for a coastal trek. The rugged walking trails offer a sense of isolation that contrasts with the suburb's settled, suburban feel. Most errands are easily managed on foot, with local coffee spots scattered along the main strips to provide a familiar ritual during your stay. Afternoon walks often lead toward Maroubra Beach, just a short distance away, providing an easy way to tire out a dog or clear your head. For fresh produce, the local markets offer a reliable routine for stocking the kitchen. Public transport links nearby connect you to the broader city, but the true draw is the unhurried pace. Managing a home here feels grounded, centered around predictable rhythms and the proximity to both sand and scrub.
