Requirements

We live on a small hobby farm approx one hour west of Brisbane at Tallegalla (half-hour from Ipswich). It is a really beautiful spot with access to many pleasant day drives. Photographers will really appreciate our wonderful sunrises and sunsets and active nature lovers, bird watchers, and walkers will love it!

Although definitely country, Minden Crossroads with fuel, supplies and Aladdin’s Cave of giftware is but 5ks down the road. We are 10/15 minutes from iconic Marburg with its historical museum, wonderful pub, antique shop, coffee bars, unique home-ware shop, corner store and friendly locals. Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates, Golf and Bowls and so on, are available either in Marburg or nearby Rosewood.

"Lilly", our 9yr old, very friendly, desexed, blue heeler requires daily exercise (which usually entails a walk around the farm) but she LOVES drives and people. She is, admittedly, rather indulged for a farm dog, being permitted inside the house and treated as one of the family. However, she is not spoilt and is well trained, although she may try to convince you otherwise!

There may be friendly, quiet cattle grazing in nearby/adjacent paddocks. If you do bring a pet then they must be under control at all times and not chase them. Please note: the house yard is not pet proof – Lilly does not stray.

Our little three bedroom/two bathroom home is not flash, but is comfortable, well appointed and has super views from every window and the decks. Campfires are fine (depending on the conditions of course) with plenty of firewood on hand. There is a farm machinery shed (with power) available for you to store and/or work on your caravan if required.

All we ask is for you to keep Lilly happy, take good care of our home, water the pot plants/garden and mow the lawn when necessary (push and ride-on mowers). You will enjoy splendid views, wonderful wildlife and peace and quiet. Your own vehicle would be required as the closest public transport is in Rosewood, 11 km away. You are welcome to arrive a few days earlier and leave later if necessary. Our very steep farm road (some gravel) is not suitable for heavy vehicles such as very large motorhomes etc. Nevertheless, we take our own caravan up and down regularly with no issues and cattle trucks etc have no worries.

PS: Dates are flexible within reason.
