We have reopened this as the house sitter we arranged has a family emergency.

Care for our 2 friendly miniature cavoodles, 3 chooks and 6 baby chicks (well - the chicks are with the hen and will be 3.5 weeks old, so very cute) with an occasional top up watering of the vege patch and a few pots if it's hot and sunny - we do have an automatic watering system. It would be great if you could walk the dogs once a day, feed them twice a day (timing flexible) and have a play/cuddle with them. They love company but are comfortable by themselves and we have a dog door into a large secure back yard. The chooks need to be let out and locked up each day. All you need to do is open/close a gate - no chook chasing required and we have an automatic feeder and water supply. Chicks need food and water topped up.

We live on a large leafy block in the centre of Canberra with bush reserve on two sides. We are close to cafes, restaurants, pubs, Lake Burley-Griffin, walking and cycling paths - so are in a great position for nature lovers, socialites and those wanting a bit of space to themselves. We are also close to galleries, museums, markets, the city centre and the airport, bus and train stations if you'd like to do the touristy things. We have a vege patch that you are welcome to raid (mainly herbs) and there may still be a few raspberries left. We have a 1960s house and are set up with two bedrooms (king and single), two home offices (one with a single bed), and one bathroom with a separate toilet. Our kitchen has most appliances except a coffee machine (do have a 'plunger'). We can have a shade cloth covered carport available and there is space in the driveway for a van/caravan.

Our return date is a bit flexible - around 31 December/1 January.
