We are re advertising as the couple who agreed to sit have had a change of circumstances.

Sitters must be non smokers.

Although the dates above are ideal dates we’d like a sitter, we can negotiate if necessary but the core dates that we must have a sitter are 16 Dec to 10 Jan 25.

There may be the opportunity for a second house sit from 2 Feb to 5 Mar.

Our home is air conditioned and sitters will have the use of the main bathroom, a large double bedroom with queen bed and its own sitting area. There is a second average sized bedroom with double bed. We have an inground heated pool and bbq with plumbed gas. The house has wifi throughout and there are two sitting rooms both with large tv and surround sound. There is also a pool table in the family sitting room. There is no landline at the house.

We would like pot plants (inside and outside) watered and of course the house kept clean and tidy.

We live on acreage with 4 cows who are self sufficient with water and feed and other than making sure gates are kept closed, should not need anything from sitters. There is no maintenance required to paddocks.

We have chooks and they will need basic care - eggs collected daily, feed and water and their nesting boxes freshened with clean straw. Their feed and water is semi automated and only needs to be replenished every couple of days. They are free range and have an automatic door that lets them in and out each day so they are pretty low maintenance. You can look forward to enjoying fresh eggs every day!

We have a large dog who can be boisterous when he meets new people but settles quickly. He responds well to bribery, a firm hand and his daily walk. He walks well on a leash and enjoys sniffing and exploring when he is out and about.

We have a barn cat who needs to be fed and watered. He loves affection and is low maintenance. His main job is keeping the barn free of mice.

We have an orchard with several fruit trees and you are welcome to whatever is ripe - if you can get it before the possums do! I have three beehives in the orchard which will not need any attention or care but sitters.

We are on rain water but we have a large collection area so sensible usage should mean this has little impact.

There is a large cemented driveway for parking but there is no available parking within the barn.

We are approximately 25 minutes from the closest beach, 12-15 minutes into the main town (though there is a general store and post office 5 mins away and Woolworths and Aldi about 7 minutes drive) and we are approx 15 minutes from the river.
