Requirements

We are looking for a Pet Sitter who would like to stay in the inner Sydney suburb of Redfern from the 13th of December to the 3rd of January.

We have one cat - Sootie, and he is the best cat in the world! There is NO KITTY LITTER to clean as he likes to run off to a secret location in the little park across the road, rain or shine. He is gentle and super shy but might bring home a rat as a present for you sometimes. This will have to be taken care of, unfortunately.

The area around the house is very quiet but vibrant in a village sort of way. There is a pub with live jazz music from Thursday to Sunday right on the corner. It has great pub food - The Eveleigh. Everyone is very friendly. You can walk to the city in 20 minutes but if you like you can walk to Redfern Station in 5 min. and from there there is a train to Bondi Junction or Crunulla if you would like to go to the beach. Walking distance to Surry Hills, Glebe, and Newtown where you will find excellent restaurants and lively nightlife.

A few things to note about the house. We are a flat above a shop which is rented out to a graphic designer. He has a separate loo & side of the house downstairs where it is his designated area. But he might go into the garage to use the rubbish bins. He is lovely. He is not there on the weekends and keeps office hours.

Another thing to note: I am currently renovating downstairs and you will have to walk through a half-installed kitchen (Don't worry, it's safe) and then go up 3 flights of stairs to the upstairs flat. The picture of the kitchen attached is the old kitchen, which is in functioning order.

There is a shower and toilet upstairs next to the bedrooms.

I am a patternmaker so the house has industrial sewing machines and a patternmaking desk, as well as office areas. I am happy for you to use my equipment as long as you keep yourself safe.

We are happy to host a small family or just one person. But the priority would be to feed Sootie twice a day and give him some cuddles every so often when he returns from his nighttime activities. He is fine with kids as he has put up with my child since she was 11.

Hope to hear from you soon.
