We are looking for a house sitter to look after our house, two dogs and horse while we are away for the long weekend at the end of May. We hae a large 4 bedroom house on 5 acres at Kholo which is in a quiet pocket of the Brisbane River near Ipswich (no flooding issues). Our two border collie/kelpie dogs, Cora and Bonnie, are friendly although Bonnie is not quite one year old yet so is quite active and is still learning. They just need to be fed as they have plenty of space to run around. Mystique, our horse, is also friendly and very easy to look after...she's happily fat with all the green grass after the rain so really doesn't need too much attention apart from a pat or two. We have a large salt water pool which still just warm enough to swim in (currently sitting around 27 degrees) although it won't need too much attention either. There is plenty of space for a motorhome or caravan to park up with easy access to power if you wish to stay in your own space. We are a family of five with three boys aged 9 - 14 so are well set up for families with older children. A large shopping centre is about 10 minutes from here, Ipswich CBD is about 15 minutes and Brisbane is just 40 minutes away. Hoping someone is keen for a short country break :-)
