House sitter required for a 3mth sit on Russell Island Qld. Our island is situated in Moreton Bay and a 15min boat ride from Redland Bay Marina. We have a small 2 bedroom 2 bathroom A frame home on a half acre block and it's 1.8 klms from the Jetty. We have a 12 y/o female American Staffy who is very timid and apart from her letting you know there are people about she is no trouble at all. Her name is Gypsy and she loves to go for a walk. The life style here is laid back and you can do as little or as much as you like. Apart from the normal house cleaning there is only the yard to be mowed which is not often during the winter. We have cool winter nights and warm winter days and its truly the best time of the year to be here. There are regular barges and water taxi's that take you to the mainland if required. There is a shopping centre with an IGA and post office if you would rather stay on the island. There is also a bottle shop RSL and Bowls Club here. The house is easy to look after and the main bedroom is on a mezzanine floor. There are no water views from our house anymore however the water is only a few minute walk away. Our yard is fully fenced so Gypsy will not escape. If you are looking for peace and quiet then you will enjoy your time here. We have a manual Hi Ace ute for you to get around on the island. For safety we would prefer that it is not left at the jetty over night.
